The thing I love about astrology is looking at the pat- terns. And if there’s something intensely emotional going on with me, well, I don’t have look very far. All I have to do is check up on my horoscope—one of the real ones, not the crap in the papers—and I get a real feel for what the influences are and how long they’re going to last.
Skeptics are a-plenty, but to me that just means they haven’t studied it and still believe that Myers-Briggs is the only form of personality typing that’s valid. But like I said, it’s all about patterns. Just like I can guarantee PMS is likely to be part of a particular biological pattern or the that tides will rise and fall according to patterns.
Tonight, after wondering why things have been so in- tense for the past few days, I gave myself a little astrological checkup to see what patterns are twirling around out there. Ah, of course. Moon opposition Venus and Sun, square Med Coeli, and sextile Neptune. And as if that is- n’t an emotional tidal wave, Venus (my “love and things I love to do” planet) is squaring Pluto, which has a tendency to firehose a situation with intensity.
Fortunately, the worst of the bad stuff is over tomorrow afternoon. Oddly enough, that’s when the girls are due back (yay, they’re on their way now!). But the weather has continued intensity throughout the week, with the Moon in the 8th house. Sheesh.
