25 in ’25: April Wins

In my plan to release 25 new Intellectual Property (IP) products in 2025, April was a win, though keep in mind that I was continuing my business book serialization that’s already been accounted for.

I spent a lot of the month working on editing and revising some manuscripts I wrote a few years ago and put on a shelf because, ya know, life. I won’t claim those until they’re actually formatted and available, so that work doesn’t count for April!

# 7 – THE SMELL OF DEATH, 5 April 2025, ebook format, a paranormal mystery novella from the Secret Lives of Librarians universe.

Even angels have secrets. And some secrets smell like death.

When midnight summons from Professor Drusilla Saint Augustine arrive, empath Lilah knows it’s never good news. But nothing concrete – one that connects a murdered priestess, a mysterious angelseed experiment, and a book of forbidden knowledge that could change the course of history. As Lilah and Raven race to uncover the truth, they find themselves entangled in a decades-old mystery that could either prevent the apocalypse or hasten its arrival.

With her unique ability to sense emotions and energies, Lilah must piece together fragments of the past while grappling with visions of possible futures. In a world where angels can be created in laboratories and time itself might be negotiable, what if prophecies aren’t set in stone – and destiny is a choice waiting to be made?

Perfect for fans of Seanan McGuire and Paricia Briggs, The Smell of Death combines Southern Gothic atmosphere with urban fantasy elements in a story about fate, free will, and the power to change the future.
