A Plethora of Possibilities

Ask and ye shall receive? Well, yes. The end-result of what I want has never been handed to me on a silver platter, but the way to get there always has been. It’s been up to me to recognize the possibilities and take the action to make it happen. In many cases, it’s happened anyway but it took a lot longer and when it did, I often felt the Universe was exasperated with me for not jumping at the opportunities presented.

Attract Him Back

It reminds me of the story I heard in church decades ago.

A man was trapped on his rooftop during a flood but kept praying that God would get him off the rooftop before he drowned. While he was waiting for God to save him, a man on a horse swam by and offered him a ride to safety, but the man turned it down. The waters continued to rise, and the man had total faith that God would save him.

A second man in a boat rowed up to his rooftop and offered him a ride, but he turned it down. The waters continued to rise, but not to worry, God would save him. The man knew God would save him, even when he climbed up onto the chimney, the highest place on the roof.

A helicopter flew over and threw down a rope ladder but the man refused. He was waiting for God to save him. The helicopter flew away and the waters rose and the man drowned.

The man arrived in heaven, angry. God asked why the man was so upset.

“Because I had faith that You would answer my prayers! I waited for You to save me, and instead, You let me drown! Why, God, didn’t You save me?”

And that’s when God looked at the man, confused, and said, “But I sent what you needed three times, and each time you refused to move.”

It’s the part of the Law of Attraction that so many people miss. It’s not enough to think it and feel it, you have to take action as well. When asking for your dream, pay attention to all the little things that happen to help you make it so, whether they’re new ideas for prosperity, new connections for friendships, or new insights into your relationships. As for me, the ideas come so quickly and plentiful that I’m thinking of installing a waterproof pen set in my shower!
