Interesting website someone sent me.

The Long-Awaited Honest-to-God Secret to Being Happy

It’s like an accident you can’t look away from because it’s everyday  life. Nothing prettied up.  Raw.  Sad.  Funny.  Bizarre.  Disturbing.

The person who sent it to me wanted to warn me that I might find the animal gore offensive.   I found so much more…upsetting…and at the same time, a lot of it beautiful in a dissonant sort of way.

I’ve always enjoyed art but never in the way an art connoisseur  might.   I’ll buy a poster I like, even at $2 poster from a flea market if I like it.  It doesn’t have to be a $6000 painting of a flower.  So maybe I don’t appreciate fine art or maybe I just haven’t been properly introduced yet.

Recently, I’m  finding  that  photographic  art  appeals strongly to me, particularly when it’s raw or erotic or captures something in life that’s hidden in plain view
