In Tarot readings, the 9 of Pentacles often shows up in readings to represent me, almost as often as the Queen of Wands.

The 9 of pents, the Lady in the Garden, showed up in an unusual spot last week and I didn’t quite grasp it…until tonight when I was reading over a recent journal entry…and the Queen of Wands, showed up, too. There was the Lady in her Garden, peaceful, serene, self-reliant, alone but quite content. More of a sanctuary and privacy than  anything lonely. She was not continually alone but quite happy in the garden to enjoy it before her lover arrives.

And then there was the Queen of Wands, flowers at her feet,  peaceful, serene, the mistress of everything around her, rooted in Springtime, in the earliest days of March.

And then I thought…Duh. What was it I just wrote about finding joy again and love in the coming Spring?

….It’s looking over the landscape that was once seared to the ground and all destroyed and now seeing the seeds have been planted and the flowers grow lushly and the buds are beginning to open and the garden that was once destroyed has been rebuilt, replanted, and now can be rejoiced in….

Ah. Got it. I am rooted in Springtime, becoming in the mistress of all around me, all this that is beautiful and rebuilt.
