I accidentally came across your article, "Empathic Abilities and Connections: "The Feeling" and this is a strong relation to my life (I've been reading your articles). I guess I am a highly sensitive person - I enjoy being alone because the overwhelming feelings that I pick up from other people is sometimes debilitating in my life. I have been to many doctors and been treated for depression, anxiety, panic attacks, etc... None of the treatments or medications work. I have a hard time being around crowds or several people at a time because I cannot control the various levels and degrees of feelings that I feel, all at one time, coming from so many people. I am not magical or special but I feel what others feel around me. Sometimes I do feel as if it is a curse. I am trying to learn how to control it but I am not having much luck. Any suggestions??
