000gg7z4Shannon and Lorna get silly at a mother-daughter reunion. c 2008

My younger daughter, Aislinn,  asked me an interesting question that changed the course I took in a personal situation.  “Mommy,” she said, “what if this thing that’s happening is really another chance to do it right?  What if you’ve already done this once–or a thousand times–and you’re in a time loop and you don’t know it and you have one more chance to get it right?”

She immediately moved on to some other topic but I, the science fiction-fantasy-time travel fan, was left gasping out loud.

I actually have lived this situation before, and it broke my heart when it was done.  I made certain choices in how I handled the situation, based on my beliefs.  And I lost.  It’s been called to my attention recently–only a week ago–that if I had done a few things differently, I would not have been left wanting. But at the time, I did what I thought I needed to in order to spare someone’s feelings.  I took the brunt of the worry and anxiety myself and …

    Greetings,

I came across you blog post because i’m searching. I feel as if I’m trapped in a Time Loop Myself endlessly repeating my life over and over again, I don’t know for how long because I’ve lost track. I just KNOW that I’m repeating my life over and over again, and I can remember it after reaching a certain point in my life always the same point each and every time.

Right now I’m a little scared because I don’t fully understand it. I want to reset my life but at the same time I don’t want to continue cycle after endless cycle.

I know what bold move I’d make in the past but I’m not sure what bold move I need to make now. Because their’s probably not much time left in this cycle.

I’m not sure if you’ll have time to respond to this or email me. I prefer email if you can, I’ve left it in this post.

I’ve been talking with a couple other people who also believe their is some sort of time loop going on.

This is so frustrating because none of my family members or friends take me seriously. It’s so far out there.

Anyway I enjoyed reading what you wrote and I wish you a bright future!

We all have more control over our futures than we sometimes think. Pick several decisions to make, small at first if you need more confidence in them, and see how breaking a pattern can change your life. Or just do one thing differently this week. Experiment. Nobody else can reset your life but you.
