I’m going to have to blog on this! On two points:

1. I completely agree on people asking for energy. It’s become a crutch.

2. I have worked with people online and at a distance, and as an empath, I can tell when they “tap in.” But it’s a learned thing after many years. Unified Field Theory is a good scientific explanation of it, but most people don’t know how to really send energy in a focused way or what it feels like.

My exasperation with the concept comes when you see someone asking for it in one of the Internet groups. I could never figure out how you could possibly send energy to someone you don't know anything about. I tend to think that it's difficult to create enough energy to have an effect upon one's own personal situations. To send it out in the ether expecting it to make a bee-line for another might be expecting too much. I've seen people want to charge money to perform reiki on-line to strangers. Frankly, I just don't believe that could possibly work. Perhaps I can understand sending energy to someone you have a personal connection. I tend not to send too much out other than love. I have been part of things when people ask and those are powerful but sometimes we have to step back and let life happen.
